Frequently asked questions about the Wellness Mode diet.

 1. Can I ever eat normally again?

Yes! You will be able to eat normally again. You will be taught how to balance all of your meals in a way that is less restrictive depending on your goals and end weight.

 

2. How long is the diet?

The diet is 8 weeks of weight loss and 2 weeks focused on boosting your metabolism for a total of 10 weeks. If you reach your goal by the end of the 10 weeks, you’re done! If you haven’t, we go on to Round 2 which is just the entire 10 weeks repeated.

 

3. Do I have to workout while on the Wellness Mode Diet?

Exercise is not needed with this diet. However, it is recommended you do cardio 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes. This will help your weight loss happen faster.

 

4. Will I be satisfied with the food on the menus?

You will feel hungry at first. It takes 21 days for your body, brain, and gut to connect and let you feel satisfied with your meals. If you get TOO hungry, let your Wellness Mode Diet Consultant know and they may be able to help you accommodate an extra snack into your menu.

 

5. Will drinking alcohol affect the diet?

Drinking alcohol affects your ketosis state which is when your body burns stored fat. Alcohol is like poison to your body. Your body will focus on burning the alcohol for 2-3 days and whatever you eat will be stored. Your body will no longer burn fat, but will focus on getting rid of the alcohol which will slow down your metabolism.

 

6. If I go on vacation what can I do to not mess up the diet?

If you go on vacation, do what you need to do to enjoy it. We all know what’s healthy and what’s not. Your Wellness Mode consultant is more concerned with helping you avoid certain foods instead of focusing on what you can have. Enjoy your vacation and when you come back, your Wellness Mode consultant can help you get back on track.

 

7. Is there a cheat meal or a cheat day?

There is a cheat meal once a week during the diet. Once you’ve completed the diet, you learn to better balance your meals. Example: Eating healthy Monday through Friday, enjoying cheat meals over the weekend.

 

8. What happens if I get stuck and can’t lose anymore weight even though I’m following my menu plan?

If you get stuck, you’re experiencing a plateau. Your Wellness Mode consultant will be prepared with a plateau menu that includes diuretic foods (which will allow you to lose water weight).

 

9. Do you increase portions throughout the diet?

During the diet, portions remain the same. When you’ve completed the diet, your portions will slowly be adjusted to boost your metabolism back to being able to handle more amounts of food. Your Wellness Mode Diet Consultant will increase your portions over a period of two weeks in order to help you maintain your target weight.

 

10. After we are finished with the diet, do we still include snacks in our everyday meal planning or do we just stick to the 3 main meals?

After you’re done with the diet, snacks are no longer necessary if you aren’t hungry. Snacks are only used throughout the diet to keep your metabolism running on a smaller amount of food. Once you’re done, you will eat double the amount of your original portions, which will take your body 4-5 hours to burn.

 

11. Can I add anything extra or take anything away from my menus?

No, the only thing you’re allowed to eat and use with your meals is what is in your menu. You can’t add anything or take anything out. If there is something in the menu that you don’t like or are allergic/sensitive to, let your Wellness Mode consultant know so adjustments can be made to your menu.
